In the context of globalization, international cooperation and the strengthening of relations between the countries of Europe – and not only – in a number of fields, such as work and education, our School is currently implementing the Erasmus+ “BE FOR CHANGE” programme, forming a small-scale partnership with a school from Poland and a school from Turkey.
This choice aims to our effort.
This choice is related to the aim of the educational policy to ‘open the school to society’. Our goal is to prepare young people for democratic life, to raise awareness about European values and to enhance their civic, intercultural and digital competences. Emphasis is also given to the inclusion, tolerance, reduction of bullying or racism and increasing social empathy.
The aim of the meetings, both in Krakow and in Pallini (followed by the one in Halicarnassus) was the understanding of other cultures, to increase social empathy and develop their European identity. Through playful learning, theatre, music and dance, discussions about simple everyday issues, living together for a week, collaborating to prepare activities and presentations, our students became wiser. They learned, at the time of separation, to throw themselves and cry in the arms of the ‘other’.
